Our 54 acre farm is full of incredible places for your next photoshoot and gives customers an array of dramatic landscapes and backdrops to choose from that fit any aesthetic. If you are a photographer looking for a new location to bring your clients, we offer annual unlimited session passes. If you are a family, couple or brand looking for individual shoots we also accommodate single session passes.

PHOTOGRAPHY FAQ
What is considered a single shoot, is that by client or by hour?
A shoot is by client. For example, photographers cannot buy a single session shoot and then host multiple families or couples at a time. Multi-shoot daysmust be paid by each client or with an unlimited membership.
When I am having a photo session, am I given a specific area on the farm to shoot?
The good thing about shoots on our farm is you have 54 acres to roam and use! Photographers are not restricted to one space. We do ask that our business is not disrupted and other customers can still access the entire farm as well. For example, unless a photographer has a reservation for a specific place, they are not allowed to block off an area for customers to access. Airbnbs are not accessible without reservation.
Do I need to make a reservation for my shoot?
Reservations are not required but we ask that photographers check into the barn first and let us know they are doing a shoot before each session. The farm is open to photographers Tuesdays – Sundays as long as there is no full farm rental closing our property. Photographers can find out when our farm is closed through the event calendar on our website.
Can I bring my own props like couches, chairs, etc?
We ask that any props receive prior approval by The Union Exchange. In most cases we will ask that you reserve a particular space for a shoot that requires props as to not affect normal business.
Can I have mini sessions on the farm?
Yes, photographers that have memberships can host mini sessions. Please note The Union Exchange logo must never be used in any photography advertisement. Mini sessions are viewed as multiple sessions not a single session pass therefore this option is only applicable for photography members.
My client wants me to shoot their engagement, should I notify the Union Exchange in advance?
YES! We want to make sure engagements happen without a hitch and nothing is disrupting this once in a lifetime moment. This is the only circumstance where we ask photographers to contact us in advance. We do not want any of our loud tractors passing by during your clients’ engagement!
Can I bring my dog for pictures?
Yes, dogs are always welcome on our farm. They just must remain on a leash and cannot enter the main barn.
Can we incorporate the farm animals into our photoshoot?
Unfortunately our animals are a little camera shy. At this time we cannot accommodate animals in photoshoots.
Can I use one of the indoor spaces and stage it for a multi-session shoot/mini sessions?
Absolutely! You are encouraged to rent our spaces and deck them out for whatever aesthetic you are interested in! All photography members get 10% event space rentals for photoshoot use including the beautiful McCain House, The Nest and Pine View Barn.
